Injury management specialists Function Jigsaw have announced a partnership with Matt Bottrill Performance Coaching.
The two companies, based in Leicestershire, will work closely together on a number of initiatives.
Matt Bottrill Performance Coaching is a cycle coaching company that offers bespoke packages to enable their riders to work at a plan that is goal-specific and fits in and around the time they have available. That flexible approach has already proved popular with dozens of riders now enjoying success under the banner of the team’s multi-award-winning owner.
Team Bottrill was set up to showcase some of the company’s most talented riders and they have hit the ground running this season with some hugely impressive results throughout the UK.
Function Jigsaw, owned by former Leicester Tigers head of medical services, Julie Hayton, is an injury management provider that offers much more than physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation.
Using their expertise in elite sport, the company already works within professional football rugby teams as well as with the British Ski & Snowboard’s Park & Pipe team.
The company’s base is a purpose-made, state-of-the-art clinic in Wigston that has its own on-site gym, showers and several treatment rooms.
Their high-tech screening and treatment methods will be available to Team Bottrill riders as part of the partnership. This consists of a series of tests that determine exactly where a rider’s individual strengths and weaknesses are.

Function Jigsaw’s team of dedicated and committed staff will then explain ideas and methods to not only improve a rider’s performance but also reduce their risk of injury.
Team Bottrill riders also have their own personalised items from Function Jigsaw’s Active Kit range, like their exclusively-designed Helix profile Active Roller – a self-massage tool used to roll through tight and restrictive soft tissue to improve range of movement and recovery which is ideal for cyclists.
Bottrill said he was excited by the partnership.
