LOROS Hospice is a local charity that cares for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
They provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.
Matt Bottrill has achieved everything he wanted to in cycle racing. Now he is coaching his own team of riders. He has added triathlon training to his workload and thrown swimming and running into his daily routine. Function Jigsaw are proud to be supporting Founder and Chief Ambassador, John Willis, in his 108 Challenge in July 2023. John, who was born without fully formed arms and legs, will be taking to the river to embark on a 108-mile kayak paddle from Cricklade to Eton Dorney. He will be joined in his 108 team kayak by members of the community, fundraisers, celebrities and sports stars to help him on his journey kayaking along the River Thames and raising vital funds for the charity. Function Jigsaw will be providing John with sports massage and any other physical treatment he may require as he embarks on his biggest ever challenge for the charity.
The Run Leicester Half Marathon & 10K is the perfect opportunity to discover our dynamic city like never before. Home to an incredible running community, Run Leicester sees thousands of participants take to the streets in a celebration of the sport, the people and the wonderful sights. Not only that, expect an electrifying atmosphere on the day! Cheers, chants and celebration will get you through the 10K or 13.1 mile route. Spectators are encouraged to join the fun in both our runner’s village and along the route.
