Function Jigsaw are delighted to announce that one of Leicestershire & Rutland’s premier bike-fitters, Phil Craddock, will be hosting an educational evening at the company’s clinic in Wigston.
So if your cycling could benefit from the hints, tips and advice of a professional like Phil, come and join us on Monday July 3 for what promises to be a fascinating educational evening for anyone who like riding around on two wheels (see the bottom of the article to book in).
Whether you are a serious cyclist – or someone that just likes to get out for a leisurely ride, everyone wants that experience to be as comfortable as possible.
And if you are at the ‘serious’ end of that scale, slight improvements in performance can lead to seconds being shaved off personal best times.
Industry leaders Giant
There is little doubt from Phil’s cv that everyone who attends will be getting tips from one of the best in the business. He works for one of the industry leaders in the form of Giant at their Rutland centre.
Having raced bikes for many years at a high amateur level on track and road, he realised the importance for speed and how important handling skills were in achieving that.
Phil was then trained by one of the best bike-fitters in the world in Phil Cavell who has worked with professional and Olympic teams in a long and respected career. Having gained the understanding of bio-mechanics and how the human body sits on a bike, Phil’s career path was chosen.
More comfortable, efficient and powerful
Over 600 fits later, Phil works at the Giant Rutland store helping cyclists become more comfortable, efficient and powerful by the set-up of their equipment.
Using cleat adjustments, saddle checks, bike adjustments, position analysis and much more, Phil can make sure the cyclist and their machine are perfectly entwined to achieve the best results.
During the evening at Function Jigsaw, he will be explaining his work and showing attendees the various elements involved to get the perfect match for human and machine.
The evening will also involve one of Function Jigsaw’s sports therapists offering a series of practical demos for warm-up and warm-down before and after cycling.
Places on the Phil Craddock evening are limited so please book yourself in by calling (0116) 3400 255 or emailing charlotte@functionjigsaw.co.uk or sylvie@functionjigsaw.co.uk.
The cost of attending is just £10. The evening will start at 7.30pm and is due to go on until around 9.00pm.
